Essential Oils

What are Essential Oils
Essential oils are aromatic volatile liquids distilled from shrubs, flowers, trees, roots, bushes, and seeds. The medicinal power of essential oils has been known and used since the most ancient of times.

Every essential oil contains vital plant compounds and are mixtures of dozens, even hundreds of constituents. These compounds offer the greatest therapeutic benefit in their natural, unadulterated state. Oils that are cut, diluted, blended synthetically, or otherwise altered lack the beneficial constituents that give pure unadulterated essential oils their health supporting capabilities and may actually cause harm to your wellness.

Essential oils are composed of tiny molecules that can penetrate into every cell, administering restorative therapy at the most fundamental levels of our bodies. They can serve many of the same purposes for us as they do in plants. They can support and balance our endocrine, circulatory, digestive, nervous, and reproductive systems. They can clear our sinuses and lungs and help us breathe better. They can help us metabolize our nutrients, minerals and vitamins. They can also enhance the natural defenses of our immune systems so we can fight off disease by our own abilities.

What makes Essential Oils special?
Essential oils contain life force, intelligence, and vibrational energy that imbues them with healing power that works for people. When God created the plants by his speaking voice, he imbued them with his Word and intelligence. This includes the oils of plants which he intended from their very creation, to become our medicines when we need healing. The point here is that essential oils are divinely ordained as medicines for God's children and are meant to be used with God's guidance, accompanied with prayer.

Genesis 2:9
"And out of the ground the Lord God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden..."

Revelation 22:2
...the tree of life, which bore 12 fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations."

Ezekiel 47:12
"Along the bank of the river, on this side and that, will grow all kinds of trees used for food; their leaves will not wither, and their fruit will not fail. They will bear fruit every month, because their water flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be for food, and their leaves for medicine."

Healing is a holistic spiritual term, not a medical one. The ancient priests and prophets, as well as some physicians of the Bible, anointed people with oil and prayed with them for their spiritual purification, moral repentance, and healing. So did Jesus. So did his disciples. And so did the Christians of the early church.

Oils of the Bible
Essential oils were a part of daily living among Hebrews, Jews, early Christians and their Gentile neighbors throughout Biblical times.
